Suns Swept by Timberwolves in Western Conference First Round
Timbwerwolves Secure 4-0 Series Victory
Size Disparity Proves Critical in Wolves' Success
The Minnesota Timberwolves have advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals after completing a 4-0 sweep of the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. Despite entering the series as the higher seed, the Suns were unable to overcome the size and athleticism of the Timberwolves.
In Game 4, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards combined for 55 points, while Rudy Gobert dominated the paint with 16 rebounds. The Suns, who were without Deandre Ayton due to injury, struggled to match the Wolves' physicality and were outrebounded 54-43.
The victory marks the Timberwolves' first playoff series sweep since 2018. They will now face the Sacramento Kings in the second round, while the Suns' season comes to an end with a disappointing first-round exit.
