Fever snap losing streak with 71-70 win
Smith leads the way with 17 points
The Indiana Fever finally secured their first home win of the season, edging out the Chicago Sky 71-70 on Wednesday night. NaLyssa Smith led the way for the Fever with 17 points, while Aaliyah Boston added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kahleah Copper led the Sky with 18 points, while Candace Parker added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Fever got off to a slow start and trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half. However, they rallied in the second half and took the lead for good with less than two minutes remaining in the game.
The win was a much-needed one for the Fever, who had lost their first three games of the season. It was also their first home win since August 2022.
The Fever will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Dallas Wings. The Sky will be back in action on Friday when they host the Las Vegas Aces.
