Premier League Giants Deliver Entertaining Opener in Summer Series

4-3 Victory Marks Exciting Start to Exhibition Tour

PHADELPHIA, PA - Chelsea and Brighton gave soccer fans in Philadelphia a night to remember with a thrilling 4-3 exhibition match in the opening game of the Premier League Summer Series. Both teams showcased their attacking prowess, entertaining the crowd with an end-to-end encounter at Lincoln Financial Field.

Chelsea took the lead early as Cole Palmer scored within the first five minutes. However, Brighton responded quickly with a goal from Neal Maupay. The two sides traded goals throughout the first half, with Christopher Nkunku putting Chelsea back ahead and Marc Cucurella equalizing for Brighton.

The second half saw Chelsea take control of the game after Brighton was reduced to 10 men following a red card to Levi Colwill. Nkunku struck again to give Chelsea the lead, and Reece James added another to extend the advantage.

Brighton managed to pull one back through substitute Deniz Undav, but it was not enough to prevent Chelsea from claiming the victory. The win sets the stage for an exciting summer series as both teams prepare for the upcoming season.
